A couple of weeks ago, we were involved in Wycliffe mobilization strategic meetings for 5 days and most of the time the scenery looked like this:
...but we did get outdoors to recharge a bit and our colleague Craig had his camera handy to capture the many moods of the Lake Yale conference center!
Now I (Shevawn) am not a big fan of meetings.... but I left the week grateful for having been able to both deepen relationships with some of our colleagues and get new ideas that should help us as we seek to bring more people into involvement with bible translation. After we had taken communion on our last morning together, a voice cried out " Has everyone been served?" and one by one, different people started calling out loudly "No, the ______ (insert the name of a bibleless people group) have not yet been served." Tears streamed down my face with the renewed realization of how many still need Gods word and of how important having that word is to my personal spiritual growth.
