Ramsey Discoveries
Ramsey DiscoveriesDear friends;
As I write this e-mail, John is in the air....on his way to Switzerland, where he will conduct a Team Leader Training workshop for a couple who lead DISCOVERY trips to an area in SouthEast Asia. Those of you who know John well can imagine just how excited he is about going to such a cold climate in the midst of winter! I laughed out loud when he told me that George, who is from SouthEast Asia, offered to take him skiing; the irony of it all is just too great! (For those of you who are trying to figure out how this all came about, Doris, Georges wife, is Swiss; hence, the decision to fly one of us there vs flying both of them here to be trained.)
Travel is indeed the theme of the next few weeks for us, as we just returned to Huntington Beach this past Saturday from a wonderfully refreshing vacation with our daughter over the holidays. John is scheduled to return from Switzerland on Jan 16th; then the two of us travel to Orlando for Wycliffe meetings January 23rd - 28th. John will then travel within the state for more Wycliffe meetings on Feb 7-9, coming back to help me with a Team Leader Training workshop here in HB on Feb 10-11. We would appreciate your prayers for strength, joy and that God would work in us and through us wherever we may be at any given point in time!
Thanks so much for your prayers for our time in Tucson in November. We left feeling good about the people we were able to spend time with, and we really appreciated your prayers for our relational energy levels! Thanks also so much for your prayers for our monthly support. Although the amount that has been pledged for us each month is currently $450 short of our monthly needs, God has been filling that gap the past several months by way of one time gifts that different individuals have sent our way, so that our support needs have been met. We are so blessed!
Please continue to pray with us that God would send us the right students for this years DISCOVERY trips. Also, I believe John told me that a coordinator for both DISCOVERY and GetGlobal has been found and is currently raising his support to join us, so please pray for him and his family as well. (Sorry this is so sketchy; more details next time!)
As 2006 begins, we count our blessings to have you as part of our prayer support. Your prayers are so essential; without them our work would be to much to bear. May God richly bless you!
In His love;
Shevawn
