Ramsey March Prayer update

It sure feels like spring around here....which means a summer of Discovery is just around the corner!  With less than three months to go before we leave for Ghana, John and I are focusing on trip preparations.  While John transitions from selecting trip applicants to trip logistic details for both Ghana and Asia, Shevawn is revising our Orientation curriculum to include some great ideas she learned in the Azusa Pacific Course she took in Ghana last summer.  Also, John, Shevawn  and Norm are all beginning to  work through weekly trip homework assignments with the three different team members via message boards on line as part of their trip preparation.

Below are some specific prayer and praises we invite you to join in with us on during the coming month.  

• PTL for a new lap top for Shevawn and Norm from WBT headquarters!  The computer we are currently using is soooo sloooowwwwww....now we just need to pray that John will be able to get it set up in between his other responsibilities.  (Bet you didn't know that John is quite a techie...which is extremely useful in a three person office!)
• We are experiencing great communication with our co-workers in Ghana, and plans are proceeding along very well for our upcoming trip.  Nonetheless,  they (and we) appreciate your prayers as so many new people are in place.  Alex Dotse, who is in charge of church relations for GILLBT, will be handling much of Rhoda's previous responsibilities, and  Michael Searchie (an alumni from our 2000 team) will be our asst leader this year.   Also, the new director has decided that GILLBT needs a person who can do discovery full-time in the future, (both Rhoda and Solo did Discovery in addition to their other job responsibilities) so please join us in prayer for a person to fill that full time discovery position in Ghana in time for next year.
• We decided to keep the trip to Ghana this year as usual, instead of linking it with a trip to Niger for some of the participants as we had originally hoped.  Maybe in 2008.....
• John and Norm have selected the participants on this end for our trips this summer; please continue to pray for those in Ghana and SE Asia who are still selecting participants from their countries. An exciting note here; a couple from our church here in HB,  (they were in one of our pictures on our last e-mail prayer update to you)  has decided to go to Ghana with us this summer!
• We still have no solution for the training of the leader in Asia.  Please continue to pray for this as we need to come up with some kind of training scenario, and he really should have been trained by now.
• Please continue to pray for funding for nationals on our trips and more Discovery staff.
• Please continue to pray for George (SE Asia trip leader) and his medical situation.
