Tamale Pizza

It is mid-morning and as I write this update John is sitting in the hall talking with Pastor Moses while Maame Esi has gone down to the office to print up our debrief curriculum I have recently finished revising so that all of us can continue our debrief preparations. Progress is being made “small-small” as we say here in Ghana; we are grateful for excellent health and moderate temperatures that contribute to progress continuing. There is still much to do though…and many more people to see in the final week before our participants begin returning from their language project assignments. We appreciate your continued prayers for us as leaders and for our participants, that we will use this time well, making time to love people as well as doing the tasks that need to be done….and taking time to love our Lord as well. Please pray especially for our participants in their walk with the Lord; when things are very different than what they are normally use to, it can make it very challenging for them to find new ways and times to connect with God. But being connected with our Lord is so vital to everything we are and do!
Speaking of doing…thanks for your prayers re: my (Shevawn’s) driving in Tamale. I am still a bit timid in the 4x4 truck we are using, but have had no major problems and am gaining some confidence with every outing. Also on the “doing” front; this past weekend we had our annual Pizza Night with the Asare family plus a few others; those of you who have come to know and love the Asares as we have will especially enjoy seeing these photos of their family.
One additional prayer request before I close; we would appreciate your prayer support as we continue to plan both our travel back to Accra on July 26 and the four days after as we partner with the Navigators, as many arrangements still have to be made. For good communication between the leaders of two different teams… for wisdom and discernment as to how God would have us spend the partnership time and for the practical details that need to be taken care of.
Thanks so much for your partnership with us and Discovery 2009!
In His love;
Shevawn & John Ramsey

Mama Wumbe, keep going in your driving in Tamale, I agree with you, it's not easy to drive in such a bussy city, nor in Mexico City.

I still have a feeling of that little and nice pizza party. We can do a taco party in Mexico, when are you coming to visit me?

Love you and miss you tons!

Claudia
