Prayer requests for the beginning of 2010
A few days after Shevawn's birthday in December, she noticed a sudden weakening of her right arm; when some other symptoms began showing up, her Dr ordered some tests. It appears that she had a "neurological episode" and is at high risk of a second; which, if it occurred, would constitute a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. As it stands now, her Dr. sees no reason why she cannot lead the Discovery trip to Ghana as planned this summer as this seems to be a mild case and there are very few symptoms so far. We have been so thankful for the peace we have experienced through most of the diagnostic process and his Grace that enables us to be thankful and continue to trust in Him as this plays out.
Prayer requests for the next several months for us include:
. Wisdom as we learn more about MS and consider treatment options and a possible clinical trial.
. Wisdom for John and Ryan as they interview applicants for our 2010 Discovery trips.
. Wisdom and God's provision as we are still trying to line up team leaders for some of our trips (including our Ghanaian co-leader.)
. Wisdom for Shevawn as she revises our Team Leader Training materials. (This year we are experimenting with conducting our training via a web site instead of live since some of our leaders will be unable to leave their location for training.)
Have you noticed a theme here; hope it makes it easier for you to pray!
