Last night Papa Andoh (assistant Discovery leader) and I watched the Ghana/USA world cup match in downtown Tamale... what excitement filled the air even hours before the start of the match. The crowd watching the TV with us danced, chanted, cheered sang, blew horns and whistles throughout the match. Once the match was over... the whole town erupted into drumming, marching, flag waving, wild jubilating motorcycle riding... for many hours... The size and intensity of the cheering crowds was as great as any I ever remember encountering in Tamale. The pictures are of the Discovery team watching Ghana play Germany... and John & Papa Andoh preparing for the match!
