Enjoying Ghana!
Our travel to Ghana was nice and uneventful, and we were delighted to see our son Jordan as we exited the airport. He had thoughtfully prepared for our arrival, arranging our transportation to the Guest House we are staying in and bringing us some snacks for coping with the jet lag munchies as well as some items he had picked up for our Discovery team for us to save us some time. After a good nights sleep, we had a wonderful day with him today, traveling outside of the capital city to see the Theological Institute he has been attending this past year and to where he has been staying, meeting the family he lives with. Our first meal out, we enjoyed fufu with light soup and ground nut soup and rice balls....yes!!!!!
Tomorrow we will start preparing in earnest for the coming of our team as we try to get a bit organized during the day and meet in the evening with Fred, (who will be our Ghanaian co-leader for Orientation), Maame Esi (who led with us in 2009), and Jordan, who is willing to hang out and help with Discovery Orientation too. We appreciate your continued prayers!
