John is alive and well in Benin!

Although he has been unable to get on the internet in order to do a blog update, John did leave me a phone message over the weekend that he had arrived safely. I have also received a few texts and a short e-mail in which I learned:

-he slept very well his first evening in Cotonou
-John ate a leisurely lunch while Indian soaps dubbed in French were playing in the background.
-He was able to acquire a laptop modem today, so will hopefully be on line soon.
-The Beninois students are to arrive tomorrow morning... and then the expat's later at night... should be a full day tomorrow and the next week.
-Tomorrow Jacques wants him to start learning how to take motobike taxi.
