Adventure with what purpose?

Wycliffe's Race to 2025! is a two-day event that bridges adventure sport and Jesus’ challenge to his Church to make disciples of all nations. During the race, teams of four compete in physical challenges and simulated missionary scenarios—including basic linguistics and a “village” encounter.

The race format is inspired by the language survey trips that Wycliffe linguists take in beautiful remote regions worldwide. Prior to the race weekend, co-ed teams of four, fund-raise $2,000 per team ($500 per racer). This money goes to support Bible translation projects around the world. Prizes are awarded to those who raise the most money and to the fastest team across the finish line, as well as other prize categories.

Each night, missionaries will tell stories of serving God by helping to unlock the fascinating world of language and linguistics.

Sounds like fun, right?

I'd like to ask for you to consider joining me in one of two ways:

1. make a donation toward the race (and my race expenses) which will help a sign language Bible translation project in Africa. you can donate here, (if possible please make a note that this donation is toward John's race)
2. consider racing with my team (really)!
