Discovery Alumni update

We first met Everette in 2007 on a Ghana Discovery team.  He and Aubrey, his Discovery partner were assigned to serve in the Nafaara language project... quite coincidentally his parents were reaching out to the same people group across the border in Cote d'Ivoire with another mission organisation for many years. 

Christy, Everette's lovely wife also grew up on the mission field in Burkina Faso.  They met at GIAL where both were studying linguistics in Texas.   

The road to becoming a Bible translator can be quite long and full of unexpected turns and challenges which Everette has met many in God's strength.  Now this couple are busy raising funds and prayers, they are expecting their first child in early 2015.  They expect to be in France brushing  up their French skills for 6 months before arriving in West Africa. 

It is always a great when we get to host Discover alumni...extra exciting when we get to see them as they are preparing to go and be a part of the Bible Translation team with Pioneer Bible Translators in West Africa.
