Meanwhile, back in Benin....

Here's a few highlights of what John's been up to the last couple of weeks:

June 25th: Johns Google smart phone died... so he took it to a repair guy who was able to resurrect it for $15.  #ThingsWeLoveAboutAfrica

These photos of Cotonou were taken with his newly repaired phone.

June 29th: Gedeon and Hypocrate (the two Beninois participants) arrived for their orientation.  Co-leader Kate drew this fabulous picture of John during the creativity exercise: she pointed out that it was complete with missing finger!
July 2nd:  Gedeon and Hypocrate traveled to the village location where Matt and Christoph were.  They are all currently helping Paulin  of the Wycliffe Benin staff) with IT training workshops in four different rural locations, spending one week in each place. The first week they were in Dassa, where Christoph and Matt had been for about three weeks already, then on July 4th they moved to the next location. They will move again each weekend until they return to Cotonou on July 25th.
Our Discover Benin participants’ recent prayer requests have been:
  •    Recovery from allergic rash.
  •    Patience to wait for university test results
  •    Energy and continued good health
  •    Good sleep at night
  •    Open heart/ears for God
  •    Language learning (French and Fon)
  •  Praise for a Great time so far

July 6 The discover team leaders
traveled to look at 3 different hotels
for potential Debrief sites. John
requests prayer for the leaders
as they plan debrief; for
wisdom and creativity as they
integrate the new "What Next"
book into their curriculum.

July 7 & 8th: John and Jacques went to a language project to participate in a Scripture in Use workshop; they experienced a taxi breakdown on the way but arrived there safely. Sadly, I have no photos of this to share at the moment.

Thanks so much for your prayers!
