Deaf people don't have a Bible in their language (yet)
This 3 minute video really helped me understand why print literature is a 2nd language for deaf people. About 60% of deaf Americans are functionally illiterate in the English language. They are not reading newspapers or blogs for information on what's happening in world events and they don't read a printed Bible to understand what God has to say. They need a sign language Bible.... they are visual people and they need a visual Bible!
There are over 300 different sign languages in the world and none of them have a full Bible available yet.

Next week, I'll post a bit more about sign language Bibles
