Christmas 2021

Merry Christmas Friends!

This has been yet another different sort of year for us.  How has it been for you?  I don’t think we’re the only ones counting our days, months and now years as before and during the pandemic, are we?

The pandemic was a significant tipping point for us toward moving to be near family. You see, pre-pandemic we felt free to fly to spend time with our extended family a few times a year… until we couldn’t.

So, in 2021, we sold our home of 20 years and moved over 1000 miles. Surely, we didn’t move for the weather or lower cost of living, but to be near those we love and - thanks be to God - we now live close enough to walk to our grandson’s school to pick him up in the afternoon when the need arises. And while this has been wonderful, it’s been over 2 years since we’ve seen our overseas family members, so we are making plans to brave both the fierce winter and international travel in the not too distant future in order to be with them. 😊 We are so happy about this (and the frequent flyer miles that will enable this trip) These plans have been delayed yet again due to ever changing government decisions in response to Covid19 .

Finally, one more sad effect of this pandemic is that we have not seen many of you, our friends for a long time… maybe we’ve Zoomed or Skyped or phoned, but its not quite the same as hanging out… truly we miss you!

We send this virtual Christmas card along with our love and a prayer for God’s richest blessings in your life!

Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you in 2022
