Who is #1 on the worst top 10 list?

The attacks across Nigeria are heartbreaking.

Whether you call the perpetrators "bandits" as they are often called in Nigeria, or "Fulani militias" as Persecution.org calls them, or "organized crime" (Organized crime is a continuing criminal enterprise that rationally works to profit from illicit activities... Its continuing existence is maintained through corruption of public officials and the use of intimidation, threats or force to protect its operations.)...

they are certainly terrorists.

On Christmas Eve 21 villages were attacked with 200 people killed and this is not the first time this is happening in this region.

The continuing attacks across Nigeria along with frequent kidnappings affects people at multiple levels creating PTSD, keeping children from attending school, preventing farmers from growing food for themselves and the nation AND it affects Bible translation projects.

In 2021 we blogged about a similar attack which killed one of our friends and his young son.

Leviticus was the secretary of the local language Bible translation committee. When bandits came to his village, people hid in the bush. Sadly, Leviticus and his son were killed, while his wife and daughter survived the attack.

Please pray for Nigeria!
