Why do women clap in church?

The trial edition of the book of Luke has now been published in the Ukaan language. It is helping the communities gain better understanding and it is even used during Bible reading in Church. One Sunday when the first lesson of scriptures was being read in Ukaan language in St Peter's Anglican Church, most of the women showed their excitement by clapping their hands. Finally they can hear God's word directly being read without an interpreter.  This is a big deal for these women.
