Ghana Discovery News Update

CHANGE OF LEADERSHIP

Since we sent our last prayer letter, Shevawn began participating in a drug trial related to her recent MS diagnosis. Although she is feeling great, her Dr. felt it would be best for her to sit this year's trip out, which means we have two new co-leaders to introduce to you.
Frederick Amissah and Bernice Buabeng-Odoom are both alumni of the 2008 Ghana Discovery team. Bernice holds the distinction of being our first and only Ghanaian Discoverer so far to serve in another country, as she actually "Discovered" in Benin! Bernice(Maame Aphua as her friends call her)is a recent graduate of the University of Cape Coast, where she studied Economics. Her hobbies include dancing and
enjoying gospel music. She speaks three different languages fluently..as does Fred or "Papa Andoh", who is a 3rd year student at UCC studying economics and sociology. He enjoys singing and loves all things related to music; after university, music and missions are his ultimate goals.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please pray for John & Shevawn during their long separation; that God will sustain them and that they will both be used by Him for His glory.

Pray for wisdom in the midst of leading the Ghana team & enough people energy for John.

Pray that our Discovery team would be an encouragement to our field missionaries.

Pray for good recruiting results for future missionaries & Bible translators from all our 2010 Discovery teams (Ghana, Papua New Guinea, Mozambique and Francophone W Africa).
