Cicipu Plans?

So, let me update you on the excitement of being a Field Coordinator:  You may not remember our blog post back in September where we announced a change of Wycliffe assignment for John (you can read it again here).  The change has taken place and the past month has been spent trying not to drown in the deep end!

Last week John met Israel Wade in Texas.  Israel and his wife Omonor have been asked to pioneer a Bible translation department within their well established Nigerian mission organisation CAPRO.
Wycliffe and CAPRO are creating a partnership in order to meet some of these needs:  Nigeria has 520 living languages with hundreds of them with NO Scripture yet...

Well.. in this picture you can see in the background the start of a plan to start meet the needs for Bible translation for the Cicipu people!  WOW... Won't you join me in committed prayer for the Cicipu people to receive access to scripture in their heart language?

We are currently writing a proposal for an initial 3 year project which will provide some initial scriptures which can (and will) impact people, churches and communities.  This is so awesome... and your partnership in this project is critical for success.

For those who are reading to the end...
join us in prayer for John's first Nigeria trip this week as he is introduced to Israel's colleagues in CAPRO.
